Gretchen E. Stringer, CVA Award

for Excellence in the Profession of Volunteer Administration

 

   Gretchen E. Stringer founded VAWNY in 1980 and made huge strides to make a difference for volunteer coordinators in the WNY community. VAWNY encourages professional growth and development of its membership.  Thus VAWNY annually recognizes a member for outstanding service in the field of volunteer administration.  Named for Gretchen E. Stringer, C.V.A., this award reflects Ms. Stringer’s lifelong commitment to professionalism in the field of volunteer management.

CRITERIA

·         Nominees should have positively impacted the field of Volunteer Administration

·         Demonstrated “hands-on” service

·         Demonstrated a leadership role in the field

·         Exhibited exceptional service in the field

Gretchen E. Stringer, CVA Award nominations are reviewed by a select panel. The honoree is announced at VAWNY's Annual Retreat and Recognition Meeting in May.
